A Life to the Full
In this series, we will look at the profound impact of the Cross and the Resurrection on how we are to live our life today. Jesus said very clearly, “Behold, I make all things new.’ In order to understand God’s plans for us, we have to understand who God is and the lengths that He is willing to go so that we can truly live. As we move within the teachings of Jesus in this series, we will find ourselves traveling in the inward direction and truly identifying who we are in Him.
The Open Journey
Using the Gospel of Mark as a primary source, OPEN will provide an all-encompassing spiritual journey that will empower a nominal Christian to move from inactivity to a lifestyle of proclamation.
Directions
“Where there is a lack of vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18. In this series, Vineyard Westside will lay out our vision for where God is taking us as a church. In Week One of the series, we will revisit the foundational message of “Love Wins.” In this series, we will be taking a close look at each direction God would have us pursue in our lives, Sacred (Up), Wholeness (In), Serving (Out), Together (With) in order to understand how Love Wins in our day to day lives. As we live this way, we believe that the story God created each of us to live, becomes “A story worth Telling.”

Who Do You Want to Be
In this series we will be talking about what it looks like to decide who you want to be before you set goals of what you want to do. From the time we start the series to the end, we will be looking at our own character and how that character can either lead us to the goals we set for ourselves or how our lack of character and take us down paths that we were never meant to go down. This series will challenge you to start off the new year in a way that will make goals a reality.
Unexpected
Whenever you look at family, whether it be your own or someone else’s, there are always those unique characters that come to the surface. Let's face it; we all have an uncle or a cousin we whisper about behind closed doors. We all have a relative or two we try to avoid at family gatherings and hope nobody knows we’re related to. No surprise there. But here's something you may not know. Jesus had a few shady characters in his family as well. Actually, he had some relatives that make your crazy uncle look like a saint. In this series, we’ll take a look at some of those characters and see what God is trying to tell us about ourselves and our family through them.
Together
When you think of the church, what do you think of? What does it mean to be the church? What does Jesus mean when He talks about us using metaphors like “the Body of Christ” or “the Bride of Christ?” In this series we will take a close look at what the church looks like from an internal and external perspective and how Jesus calls us to blur the lines between the two. We will spend time looking at all the ways the Bible refers to &ldqup;one another” and talk about what it means when the Church grows hands and feet and begins to live out these instructions. If you’ve ever thought of the church as a bunch of messed up people, then this series will show you how God takes turns a bunch or ragamuffins into “A Beautiful Mess.”
Rich
Are you rich? If you own a car, you are amongst 8% of the wealthiest people in the world. If you make more than $37,000 a year, you are in the top 4% and if you make $45,000 or more, you are in the top 1% of the richest people in the world. Around every corner, the world is telling us how to GET Rich but we never really understand how to BE Rich. In this series, we will look at the instructions that Jesus gives to those of us who ARE Rich and why He spends so much time talking to Rich people in His word.

The Accountable Life
In this series, we will be taking a look at the idea that as followers of Jesus, we are called to be the most responsible people on the planet. We will look at what happens to us when we are responsible and what happens to us and those around us when we‘re not. We will discover that we and others who are connected to us always reap what we sew. So often we blame others, or God for the consequences that come from our irresponsibility. As we will see in this series, God will never settle for us living Mediocre lives and spending all our time blaming. He will call us, no matter where we are or what poor choices we have made, to get up and act and take responsibility for what He has given us to be responsible for. Ultimately, He says, we will be asked to give an account for what we did with what He gave us.
Rest/Work
Belonging
What keeps us isolated? What keeps us from doing life together with other people? Is it past hurts and we don’t trust anyone? Is it that we’re too busy? Is it that we fear rejection if someone finds us out? In this series, we will examine what it means to be a Christ follower and a community where everyone is welcome. Then we will look at what it looks like to grow smaller and finally how everyone has something to gain and give within a Christ community. All of this will culminate with a challenge for all of us to participate in a Life Group at Vineyard Westside where we can grow, be transformed, and find out what it means to live in community with others that we can share life with.

Emerge
As we head toward our Baptism weekend, we want to talk about the life of Emergence when a person meets Christ. The definition of Emergence is: to come out into view, as from concealment; issue: come out of; become known or apparent; come up to the surface of or rise. We will explore the journey from when we first our planted or rooted in Christ and the growth and expression that takes place as we emerge from the soil or water and new life occurs.
The Outward Focused Life
So often we live in a world of “don’t do this, or don’t do that”. The book of Philippians spends a lot more time telling us of the things that we should be doing to live out this life that we have been called to. As we walk through these 4 Chapters, we are guaranteed to first hear about the Outward focused nature of God, but we will also be challenged during this series to be His hands and feet and become outward focused like Him. Brace yourself, you might get uncomfortable...but when has following Jesus ever been comfortable?
The Nature of God
Often we hear people ask the question, “Who is God?” We spend so much time learning trying to implement His teachings that we sometimes neglect the source from which they come. In this series, we will take a very close look at the three persons that make up our Triune God...“The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Each week we examine one person and try our best to communicate from an earthly perspective what evidence there is of God in three persons and what that ultimately means for us, our belief paradigms, and living our lives to reflect His uniqueness on the earth.
A Fresh Start
This series, beginning on Easter Sunday, will be a time for us to come together and take a look at what Jesus meant when he said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Ok...so what does that really mean? What if I’ve done some things that can’t be erased (regrets), what if I was hurt and can’t forgive (Unforgiveness), what if I’ve ruined every relationship I’ve tried to give myself to (selfishness), or continually slip back into the same old patterns (apathy)? This series will call us all to take the steps necessary to really start over and as Jesus offers us freedom from our past.
Face to Face
In this series, we are taking a look at what happens when we come face to face with Jesus. As we approach the cross and head toward Easter, we will be looking at the story of 4 people who encountered Jesus face to face, and examining their response to their experience with Him. The goal of this series is to help us understand how Jesus speaks to us, what He requires of us, and what our response could look like.
Everyone
This series is designed to call out the “story worth telling” in each person at Vineyard Westside. As we’re called into our unique, original, extraordinary story, our challenge however is to keep from falling back into mediocrity where it is safe and to keep from believing the lies told to us by those who knew us before the call. As we move in that direction, it is imperative that we understand there will be conflict and then we will have to draw a line and head into the unknown. The series will climax with the greatest truth taught in the scriptures... Love God and Love people.

What We Believe
In an effort to answer the many questions we receive about “what we believe” regarding specific topics, we have launched our current teaching series. What does Vineyard Westside believe about Hell? What about Catholicism? What about homosexuality? You'll have to listen in to find out.
