Rest/Work
Belonging
What keeps us isolated? What keeps us from doing life together with other people? Is it past hurts and we don’t trust anyone? Is it that we’re too busy? Is it that we fear rejection if someone finds us out? In this series, we will examine what it means to be a Christ follower and a community where everyone is welcome. Then we will look at what it looks like to grow smaller and finally how everyone has something to gain and give within a Christ community. All of this will culminate with a challenge for all of us to participate in a Life Group at Vineyard Westside where we can grow, be transformed, and find out what it means to live in community with others that we can share life with.
Off Week
Emerge
As we head toward our Baptism weekend, we want to talk about the life of Emergence when a person meets Christ. The definition of Emergence is: to come out into view, as from concealment; issue: come out of; become known or apparent; come up to the surface of or rise. We will explore the journey from when we first our planted or rooted in Christ and the growth and expression that takes place as we emerge from the soil or water and new life occurs.
The Outward Focused Life
So often we live in a world of “don’t do this, or don’t do that”. The book of Philippians spends a lot more time telling us of the things that we should be doing to live out this life that we have been called to. As we walk through these 4 Chapters, we are guaranteed to first hear about the Outward focused nature of God, but we will also be challenged during this series to be His hands and feet and become outward focused like Him. Brace yourself, you might get uncomfortable...but when has following Jesus ever been comfortable?
The Nature of God
Often we hear people ask the question, “Who is God?” We spend so much time learning trying to implement His teachings that we sometimes neglect the source from which they come. In this series, we will take a very close look at the three persons that make up our Triune God...“The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Each week we examine one person and try our best to communicate from an earthly perspective what evidence there is of God in three persons and what that ultimately means for us, our belief paradigms, and living our lives to reflect His uniqueness on the earth.
A Fresh Start
This series, beginning on Easter Sunday, will be a time for us to come together and take a look at what Jesus meant when he said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Ok...so what does that really mean? What if I’ve done some things that can’t be erased (regrets), what if I was hurt and can’t forgive (Unforgiveness), what if I’ve ruined every relationship I’ve tried to give myself to (selfishness), or continually slip back into the same old patterns (apathy)? This series will call us all to take the steps necessary to really start over and as Jesus offers us freedom from our past.
Face to Face
In this series, we are taking a look at what happens when we come face to face with Jesus. As we approach the cross and head toward Easter, we will be looking at the story of 4 people who encountered Jesus face to face, and examining their response to their experience with Him. The goal of this series is to help us understand how Jesus speaks to us, what He requires of us, and what our response could look like.
Everyone
This series is designed to call out the “story worth telling” in each person at Vineyard Westside. As we’re called into our unique, original, extraordinary story, our challenge however is to keep from falling back into mediocrity where it is safe and to keep from believing the lies told to us by those who knew us before the call. As we move in that direction, it is imperative that we understand there will be conflict and then we will have to draw a line and head into the unknown. The series will climax with the greatest truth taught in the scriptures... Love God and Love people.

What We Believe
In an effort to answer the many questions we receive about “what we believe” regarding specific topics, we have launched our current teaching series. What does Vineyard Westside believe about Hell? What about Catholicism? What about homosexuality? You'll have to listen in to find out.
